20% deposit is required at the time of booking.
Remember that each hour of shooting includes a CD of professionally retouched images.
Example: The 6 HOUR SHOOT could be used for a group of six models, each of whom would get an hour of shooting and 10 retouched images on CD for about $117. There is only one location set-up, however, so each model would be shot in the same location unless other arrangements are made. Changing locations eats up shooting time, but you may be willing to trade an hour of shooting for driving across town to another location.
The gist of my standard usage agreement is this: US copyright law states that, unless otherwise indicated, photographs are the property of the photographer. I want you to be able to use your photos, and I would also like credit for them. So my agreement states that you will keep my copyright info on the image, and not crop or alter it in any way. I don’t like to an image with my name on it run through a cheesy image filter because then people think that is my photography style. In instances where you wouldn’t want my copyright visible on the image, like a magazine cover, we TALK. In most cases I’ll just want my name credited inside the magazine. Conversely, if I am going to use your image on the cover of a magazine, I want YOU to be credited. I will contact you and we’ll see how (and IF) you would like your credit to appear. I like to communicate with my models. Like most things in life, as long as we are communicating it will all be fine.
I've been taking pictures since I was old enough to be trusted with my father's old Leica. I must have been ten years old. The old man never let me use a light meter, insisting that I gauge my settings by eyeballing the sky. Of course, my photos were often under or over-exposed, because it's very difficult to make those sorts of judgments with any accuracy. There's a reason they make light meters. It did teach me about shutter speed, film speed, and aperture, though. These days, my camera does the calculating, of course, but it's helpful to know these things... and to break the rules to your advantage.
